A method for study the effects of stationary electric fields on the corrosion resistance of steel samples consists in placing the steel sample (including its deformation) between two metal plates, on which the voltage is supplied from the direct-current source, thus creating a stationary electric fields with the tension of (E = 10-1000 V/m), with the corrosion resistance of the sample measured by the loss of its weight (gravimetry) or by the change of the current corrosion (potentiostatic measurements).
