A method for the complex assessment of the histochemical structure of the enamel comprises measuring calcium, phosphorus and fluorine content by the comparative dispersion of double refraction. The content of calcium, phosphorus and fluorine is measured on the external surface of the enamel, inside the enamel and near enamel-dentin surface on the occlusion, middle and cervical parts of the crowns of canines, incisors, premolars and molars on vestibular, lingual and lateral sides of the crowns. The decrease in the content of the elements indicated is suggestive of the pathological processes in the topographical areas being assessed.
