A method for increase of efficiency of hitting airborne targets by air defense weapon at which one carries out reveal of air target, its following, switch on of circuit of self-direction of fighting rocket, development of command of control of flight of fighting rocket and effect of self-direction of fighting rocket on airborne target that is followed. After reveal of airborne target one performs launch of control point as rocket towards that target, and in process of effect of self-direction of fighting rocket on airborne target that is followed one performs return of control point to place of its launch with landing by means of parachute.
