METHOD FOR CONTROLLING SPREAD OF DOMESTIC LEPIDOPTEROUS INSECTS

A method for controlling the spread of domestic lepidopterous insects includes direct control of pest population with settling a parasite of eggs of lepidopterous pests, in particular Trichogramma of the species Trichogramma evanescens Westw., in the dwelling rooms, apartments, where furs, carpets, wool clothes are disposed. The settling is carried out in an equivalent of 15-20 females per 12-15 mof the area of the premises with an interval of 15-20 days, in the course of May-July, with the following 2.5-3 month interval without settling the Trichogramma and two settlings in the course of two months. In addition, the settling is carried out by means of hanging cards of shaggy paper with the eggs of host insects, glued thereon, in which the Trichogramma is developed. In doing so the cards with the Trichogramma are disposed inside the wardrobes where the clothes are disposed.
