A lining of rotary furnace is made of refractory materials that have depressions and lugs. The depressions are arranged at end turned to the body of the furnace and are in contact with the body of the furnace with 1/5 part of the end. Cavities of depressions of refractory materials are filled with fiber thermo-stable material density of which in zone of maximal temperatures is 250-300 kg/mand gradually decreases in length of the furnace to side of decrease of temperatures by 1.44-2.16 kg/mper running meter of the furnace lining. The lugs are formed due to alternating placement of high and low refractories. Height of high refractories exceeds height of low refractories by value that is 0.05-0.07 of the inner diameter of the furnace. Length of the lugs in direction of rotation of the furnace is 0.7-1.3 of length of gap between neighboring lugs. Material mixing at melting is improved, intensification of heat exchange between the lining and material, and uniformity of material heating is provided.
