The invention relates to the chemical technology and can be used in preparation of arsenium-, sulphur- and selenium-containing glasses, suitable for the use as thin-film material for data record. A method for the synthesis of glass of As-S-Se system comprises placing of elementary components into ampoule from quartz glass, vacuuming of the ampoule, heating of the ampoule content to the temperature of the synthesis and cooling of the ampoule. Sulphur and selenium are placed in one side of the ampoule, and arsenium separately from sulphur and selenium, the mixture of sulphur with selenium is heated locally to temperature 120-170 °C, hold at this temperature for 6-10 hours, after that arsenium is added into contact with the melt of mixture of sulphur and selenium, the ampoule content is heated to temperature 400-450 °C. The invention provides the acceleration of the synthesis process.
