Electronic system for automatic control ofagricultural irrigation, which is composed of the following: atensiometer formed by a vertical tube, which is filledpartially with water, which has a ceramic capsule attachedsemipermeable; an inverted U microtube, with a branch that enters,through a plug, in the tube and with the other, through anotherstopper, in a bucket full of mercury, and two sensors thatdetect, by means of an LED focused on an LDR, the levelsmaximum and minimum mercury which, according to the greater or lesser depressionin the tube, ascends or descends through the microtube. The set isbury deep in the roots of a crop, and thesensor readings, duly amplified by aelectronic circuit, used to start or stop aconventional equipment for watering plants.
