The method involves applying a sealing compound (10) e.g. adhesive sealing compound, in corner areas (BE) of a frame element (2) such that thickness (DE) of the corner areas is larger than the thickness (DZ) of respective sections (AZ) of respective frame sides (R1, R2). The corner areas are provided between the frame sides, where the ratio of the thickness of the corner areas and the thickness of the sections of the respective frame sides lies in the range of 1.05 to 1.5. Each frame side has a thickness at a range of about 10-155 millimeter. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a frame element of a stove top (2) a kitchen furniture-stove top-arrangement with a stove top (3) a kitchen furniture with a stove top.
