METASTASIS MODELS USING GREEN FLUORESCENT PROTEIN (GFP) AS A MARKER

摘要

A method to follow the progression of metastasis of a primary tumor, whichmethod comprises observing fluorescence at various locations in an intactanimal model is described. Animals which contain GFP producing tumors areuseful models to study the mechanism of metastasis, as well as to evaluatecandidate protocols and drugs. In addition, subjects already harboring tumorscan be treated so as to modify the endogenous tumours to contain GFP, topermit clinical applications.
