TONER CONTAINING SILICATE CLAY PARTICLES FOR IMPROVED RELATIVE HUMIDITY SENSITIVITY

Toner particles, preferably emulsion aggregation toner particles, haveimproved relative humidity sensitivity through inclusion therein of silicateclayparticles such as kaolin clay. The toner particles include a binder,preferably anacrylate-containing binder, at least one colorant, and silicate clay particlesdistributedin the binder. In a core-shell embodiment, the silicate particles aredistributed in thecore, the shell layer, or both. Developers of the toner in combination withcarrierparticles are also described.
