A STEAM SHOWER HAVING IMPROVED MAINTENANCE ACCESS

A steam shower is provided for supplying steam to a web in a paper machine.Thesteam shower includes a diffuser assembly mounted to the cross-beam formovement inthe direction of the longitudinal axis of the cross beam. The cross-beamdefines aninterior steam header for connection to a source of steam. The diffuserassemblyincludes a plurality of separated steam compartments. The diffuser assemblymay be partof a steam provision assembly that is also mounted to the cross-beam formovement inthe direction of the longitudinal axis of the cross beam. In addition to thediffuserassembly, the steam provision assembly includes a second steam header andsteamvalve modules.
