COMPARING ACCURACIES OF LIE DETECTION METHODS

A method for selecting the most accurate lie detection method from agroup of methods, the method includes the steps of: (a) collecting the resultsfromdifferent methods of conducting lie detection tests; (b) plotting the resultson a polargraph; c) computing the "random chance" point on the graph for each method'sresults;(d) fitting a quadratic curve to the defined points for each method; (e)computing thearea beneath each method's curve; (f) mapping the area to a log-base-2 score;and (g)choosing as the most accurate method the method with a higher log-base-2score.
