A communications system may include at least onemobile wireless communications device including an input deviceand a processor cooperating therewith for receiving input datacorresponding to an advertising display. The system may furtherinclude an advertising server for determining when the at leastone mobile wireless communications device enters within athreshold exposure distance of the advertising display, andincreasing an advertising effectiveness ranking for theadvertising display based upon a determination that the mobilewireless communications device entered within the thresholdexposure distance, and based upon the processor receiving theinput data corresponding to the advertising display.
