A method for facilitating greenhouse gas emission control in an enterprise isdisclosedherein. In one embodiment, such a method may include taking an inventory ofGHG-producingassets of an enterprise and monitoring the GHG emission rate for each of theGHG-producing assets.If the GHG emission rate for a specific GHG-producing asset exceeds aspecified rate limit, or if thegrowth rate of the GHG emission rate for the specific GHG-producing assetexceeds a specifiedgrowth rate limit, maintenance may be automatically scheduled for that GHG-producing asset. Acorresponding apparatus and computer program product are also disclosed andclaimed herein.
