Earth-boring tools comprise a face and a plurality ofcut-ting elements disposed on at least a portion of the face. An impactmateri-al is positioned on at least one portion of the body and has a relativeex-posure equal to or greater than at least some of the cutting elements oftheplurality of cutting elements. The impact material comprises a materialhaving a lower abrasion resistance than the body. Methods of making andmethods of using such earth-boring tools are also disclosed.
