This invention relates to an immunotherapeutic agent, which is based on cell wall fragments from a virulent strain of Mycobacterium tuberculosis, to a method of obtaining said agent, to pharmaceutical compositions containing same and to the use thereof for the preparation of a medicament for the combined treatment of tuberculosis in association with other drugs.
