Disclosed are: a measurement reagent which is not non-specifically aggregated even when the quantity of antibodies carried on the reagent is increased, can achieve the measurement in a wide concentration range, and has high measurement sensitivity; an immunology turbidimetric method using the measurement reagent; and a method for producing the measurement reagent. Specifically disclosed is a method for producing an insoluble carrier particle, which is a method for producing an insoluble carrier particle having an antibody or antigen carried on the surface thereof. The method comprises a sensitization reaction step of contacting the insoluble carrier particle with the antibody or antigen in a sensitization reaction solution in the presence of a polar charged side-chain amino acid. The insoluble carrier particle produced by the method is not non-specifically aggregated, and therefore has excellent dispersibility. As shown in Examples 1-1 to 1-4 in Fig. 3, the insoluble carrier particle can achieve the measurement in a wide concentration range and has high measurement sensitivity when used in the measurement by an immunology turbidimetric method.
