System with floating macrophyte filter configured such that it can be installed in an outflow from a circuit that conveys a stream of fluid to be filtered. The system has: a layer with floating macrophyte filter in a filtration tank (10); a mixing chamber (20) upstream of the filtration tank (10) for receiving an inflowing stream (Qi) and receiving a recirculated stream (Qr) and conveying a homogenized stream (Qh) resulting from the mixing of the inflowing (Qi) and recirculated (Qr) streams; a recirculation chamber (30) downstream of the filtration tank (10); transfer means (3') for conveying a stream to be recirculated (Qr) from the filtration tank (10) to the recirculation chamber (30); and recirculation means (3) for conveying a recirculated stream (Qr) from the recirculation chamber (30) to the mixing chamber (20).
