T-NUT ASSEMBLY FOR SEALING AN EXISTING CONNECTION IN A LINED CONDUIT

A T-nut assembly for reinstating a sealed connection in a lined conduit is provided. The assembly includes a rigid T-nut having a hollow tubular region (22) with an engagement surface (23) at one end and a base (26) with an opening therethrough at the other. The base (26) has a larger diameter than the tubular region (22). The T-nut includes an integral shoulder (27) around the tubular member (22) at the base (26) and has a larger diameter than the tubular region (22) and less than the base (26). The outside of the shoulder (27) has a wall (27a) extending above the shoulder (27) to form an annular recess (28) at the engagement end. A substantially rigid sealing washer (29) is placed in the annular recess (28) and a compressible gasket (31) is placed on the base (26) about the shoulder (27).
