7Li is removed from a nuclear plant primary cooling circuit by withdrawing cooling water from the circuit, passing it through an electrodialysis module (3) and then returning the discharged diluate to the circuit. An Independent claim is also included for an apparatus for carrying out the above process. Preferred Features: The module may be subjected to polarity reversal and may be fed with concentrate instead of diluate so that 7Li is introduced into the cooling water.
