The panel is mounted in a rabbet with a false base containing a heat swellable material. A spacer part between the edge of the panel and the heat swellable material covers part or all of the latter. The material is designed to swell in the event of fire and press the spacer part against the edge of the panel, so that the latter is held more firmly inside the rabbet.
