METHOD, MOBILE TERMINAL AND BASE STATION FOR REPORTING MEASUREMENT REPORT AND SENDING TARGET CELL INFORMATION

A method, mobile terminal(MT) and base station(BS) for reporting measurement report and sending target cell information are provided in the present invention. During releasing the session, the MT reports the measurement report including Long Term Evolution(LTE) macro-cell and/or Closed Subscriber Group(CSG) cell to network; Before the release of the session is completed, the network sends target cell information to the MT according to the measurement report; the MT selects a suitable LTE macro-cell or CSG cell according to Radio Access Technology(RAT) adjacent cell frequency list and RAT priority information and/or frequency priority information in the target cell information, which ensures that the redirection or reselection of cell, cell change or handover process is performed successfully. The invention can solve the following problem: the MT, which performs voice service in GSM EDGE Radio Access Network(GERAN) network, maybe needs to access LTE macro-cell or CSG cell when it releases the service, however, when the MT is in the measurement control mode of only measuring LTE macro-cell and/or CSG cell but not reporting the measurement, a suitable target cell can not be selected for the MT because network side does not have the measurement report about LTE macro-cell and/or CSG cell.
