MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR THE REQUESTING OF IM POSITIVE DELIVERY REPORTS FROM INDIVIDUAL GROUP MEMBERS

The present invention relates to a method which allows a sender participating in a group messaging service to request IM positive delivery reports from select group members. The present invention is characterised by the following steps: the sender drafts an IM (Instant Messaging) message containing information about specific target members; the sender transmits said message to an IM server; said IM server generates IM messages for the target members based on the information; and said IM server delivers the generated IM messages to the target members. The present invention therefore allows only the members who received the IM message to generate and send individual positive delivery reports to the sender. In doing so, the sender receives positive delivery reports from the select group members only.
