The subject of the invention is a heat exchanger (3) able to cool a refrigerant flowing inside said exchanger (3). The latter (3) is intended to be fitted in an air-conditioning loop of a motor vehicle heating, ventilation and/or air-conditioning installation. The heat exchanger (3) comprises at least one phase-change material (10) able to cool the refrigerant when a temperature T of the refrigerant inside the heat exchanger (3) is above a threshold temperature of said material (10).
