The casing (10) has an annulus situated facing one of series of moving blades (20), and casing treatment zone facing the moving blades, where the casing treatment zone includes a groove (12) defining a closed outline. The treatment zone is localized over an angular sector corresponding to 1.5 to 2.5 times the pitch of the moving blades. The treatment zone comprises another groove of which the closed outline is curved. The casing treatment zone is formed in a plate fitted to the casing, where the plate is made of an abradable material.
