The present invention provides a method for producing a cleaning blade (10) for use in an image-forming apparatus. The method includes the steps of roughly kneading a rubber component (1) containing rubber derived from acrylonitrile butadiene copolymer therein by supplying the rubber derived from acrylonitrile butadiene copolymer to a rubber-kneading apparatus; kneading the rubber component (1), a filler (2) essentially containing carbon black and zinc oxide therein, and a crosslinking agent (3) containing sulfur therein by simultaneously supplying the filler (2) and the crosslinking agent (3) to the rubber-kneading apparatus; and press-vulcanizing a mixture consisting of a thermosetting elastomer composition obtained at the roughly kneading step to generate zinc sulfide and mold the thermosetting elastomer composition.
