The present invention enables displaying of a video image of a desired subject or a direction without a need for a camera operator to pay a special attention to the desired subject or the direction. The vide displaying method of the present invention comprises a step ST31 for cutting out a portion of a still image imaged by the wide-angle lens 15 and producing a display data for a first display image, a step ST35 for specifying a changed amount of a imaging angle from the imaging timing for the previously cut-out still image to the imaging timing for the still image to be cut-out, a step ST36 for cutting out a second or later still image imaged by the wide-angle lens 15 as well as shifting the cut-out region for the second or later still image so as to cancel the specified change amount of the imaging angle, forming a display data for the second or later display images.
