The method involves inserting weft threads into thread storing units (2a,2b,2a',2b') and main nozzles (3,3') of weft insertion system. A pressure regulating system (10) comprising pressure regulator with pressure sensor, multi-way valve and regulator are arranged separately from main nozzles. The pressure regulator is coupled for insertion of weft thread to main nozzle. An independent claim is included for air jet weaving machine.
