The present invention relates to a composition for promoting implantation of an embryo or pregnancy of an animal, containing MMP-9(metalloproteinase-9) as active ingredients. The composition of the present invention significantly increases an embryo implantation rate, or remarkably increases a pregnancy rate. As proved in the following embodiment, the composition of the present invention leads to a 25% increase in pregnancy rate and embryo implantation rate.
