COMPUTATION UNIT, PROCESSOR, AND PARALLEL COMPUTATION METHOD

Disclosed is a computation unit that is capable of freely selecting, from multiple input data which are aligned in a prescribed sequence, the sets and the input sequence thereof of the input data used for a computation, and that is capable of freely designating the computation method for each input data set; further disclosed are a processor and a parallel computing method using the computation unit. This computation unit uses L computation devices to perform a parallel computation process with respect to K input data which are input in a prescribed sequence. The computation devices are configured to perform a computation with respect to M input data. The computation unit comprises: a data selection device (44) which selects, from multiple input data as the computation subject, input data in an arbitrary position designated by computation subject information for each computation device, with the sequence designated by the computation subject information for each computation device; and a parallel computation device (42) which contains computation devices and which, with respect to the data selected by the data selection device (44), performs L computations designated by computation method information in parallel with each computation device (with K, L and M being integers greater than or equal to 1).
