A device for analyzing time series data (1) is employed that analyzes a time series data that is acquired from a number of occurrences of a document that includes a specified language expression.  The device for analyzing time series data (1) comprises an initial point setting unit (5), which sets the initial point of a region within the time series data wherein it is predicted that a factor is included such that the language expression becomes a subject of interest, a maximum extraction unit (7) that extracts, based on the time series data, a maximum that is located upon a future side of the set initial point and is also the closest to the initial point, and an end point setting unit (6), which sets an end point of the predicted region on the basis of the extracted maximum point.
