For a display device that enlarges received images by a predetermined enlargement ratio and displays on a screen the image in a range falling within a predetermined screen resolution among the enlarged images, a resolution changing device acquires resolution information for identifying an effective resolution that is an image resolution indicating the range displayed on the screen among the images before being enlarged. For example, the resolution changing device, when acquiring identification information for identifying a display device for displaying a computer screen, refers to a storage unit storing the resolution information in correspondence to the identification information for identifying a display device and acquires the resolution information corresponding to the acquired identification information. The resolution changing device then changes the resolution of the entire of the computer screen displayed on the screen to the effective resolution identified by the acquired resolution information.
