Provided is a method for the coexistence of transparent transmission and non-transparent transmission of a relay node. More specifically, in frequency-division multiplexing, a transparent transmission mode is used in a certain operating carrier frequency bandwidth, and a non-transparent transmission mode is used in another certain operating carrier frequency bandwidth. In time-division multiplexing, the relay node operates in the transparent mode in multiple sub-frames, and operates in the non-transparent mode in the other multiple sub-frames. By use the method by which the transparent transmission and non-transparent transmission of the relay node coexist, the cost required for a system can be effectively reduced.
