METHOD, SYSTEM AND MOBILE TERMINAL FOR POSITIONING CONTACT NAME

A method, system and mobile terminal for positioning a contact name. The method comprises the following steps: establishing a table in a contact database, where the contact names correspond to the pinyin initials of the contact names in the table; receiving a pinyin initial of the contact name input by a user; screening out all the next pinyin initials matched with the pinyin initial in the table, and prompting the user the screened out next pinyin initial in an input keyboard; selecting the key corresponding to the next pinyin initial of the contact name in the screened out pinyin initials; if the contact name to be searched is positioned, then ending the method, else returning to the step of receiving a pinyin initial of the input contact name.
