To inject a sample that is in the tip of a pipette into an HPLC system, the end of the tip of the pipette on the sample side is pressed in a pressure-tight manner into a closure sleeve that is closed at the end by a membrane and the closure sleeve with the tip of the pipette in it is fixed in a holding device. Capillary needles are inserted into both ends of the tip of the pipette in such a way that the sample loop of an HPLC injection system is closed by the tip of the pipette, wherein the tip of the pipette serves as a single-use sample carrier that can withstand the high pressure of HPLC.
