The invention relates to a system and a method for producing a "convergent connection" fixed-mobile convergent telecommunications service consisting of a mobile communications connection with a home zone and parallel call function, which can be activated and deactivated by a user via a self-administration interface and which when activated carries out parallel call connection attempts to a mobile communications connection and a fixed network connection, irrespective of whether a mobile communications number or a fixed network number has been dialled. The invention also permits a series of business models for producing the convergent connection telecommunications service, in particular a business model for the provision of preliminary services by a mobile communications network provider to other telecommunications providers, in addition to a business model for the provision of a service for converting an existing fixed network connection into a convergent connection to the customers of other fixed network providers, without requiring the co-operation of the other fixed network provider. By designing the self-administration interface as a multi-user enabled interface, considerable time and resources involved in integration can be saved, as the self-administration process causes a configuration change exclusively in the mobile communications network and consequently no interaction with the fixed network is required during said process. The invention also relates to a method by means of which a fixed network provider can transfer call control and the production of intelligent services to a mobile communications provider and can save costs by call number convergence and service logic convergence.
