IMAGE PROCESSING DEVICE FOR MATCHING IMAGES OF A SAME PORTION OF A BODY OBTAINED BY MAGNETIC RESONANCE AND ULTRASOUNDS

摘要

The device (D) has a processing module (MT) constructing cards of probability belonging to elementary parts e.g. pixels/voxels, with interesting structures e.g. hyperechoics/hypoechoics structures, of a body portion i.e. cerebrum, based on intensities. The module estimates a rigid/non-rigid resetting transformation permitting to pass data of a bidimensional ultrasonic image (IU) to data of a three dimensional magnetic resonance image (IM) by maximizing conjoined probability belonging to same structure and resets the structures of one card with respect to that of other using the transformation.
