An irrigation device includes a spike connectable to a flow controller directly or through an optional extension. The spike includes an outer shell that tapers from a broad end to a point end and includes perforations communicating through the outer shell to deliver fluid from an inner chamber. An optional extension connects to the broad end of the spike. The optional extension may optionally include perforations. A flow controller includes a flow inlet communicating with a flow outlet. Optionally, a flow valve regulates flow from the flow outlet. Fluid is delivered from a fluid source through the flow controller and to the perforations at the spike. The present invention also includes a system of irrigation devices each including a spike, a flow controller, and, in an optional embodiment, one or more extensions.
