Device for detecting infrared radiation using a bolometer and method for reading out such a bolometer integrated into a bolometer array

The device has a measuring unit formed of integrators (16), a compensation circuit (24) and a drift circuit (38), for measuring a drift of electric resistance of a resistive imaging bolometer (140) with respect to a reference value of the electrical resistance of the bolometer corresponding to predetermined operation conditions of the bolometer. A correction block corrects the effects of the drift in the resistance. The integrators and the drift circuit measure the electrical resistance of the bolometer, and a determination unit determines the drift based on the measured electric resistance. An independent claim is also included for a method for reading a resistive imaging bolometer of bi-dimensional matrix of bolometers of an infra-red radiation detection system.
