ZINC-BASED BLACK RUST INHIBITOR, RUST INHIBITING COATING FILM, AND RUST INHIBITING METAL MEMBER

Disclosed are: a rust inhibiting coating film which exhibits excellent rust inhibiting properties as a black rust inhibitor, while having a sufficient black color tone; a rust inhibiting metal member; and a zinc-based black rust inhibitor which is capable of forming the rust inhibiting coating film. Specifically disclosed is a zinc-based black rust inhibitor which is characterized by containing (1) a zinc pigment and/or a zinc alloy pigment, (2) black synthetic iron oxide and (3) a phosphoric acid-based rust inhibiting pigment in such amounts that the mass ratio of (1) the zinc pigment and/or zinc alloy pigment to (2) the black synthetic iron oxide ((1)/(2)) is within the range from 85/15 to 65/35 and the mass ratio of (2) the black synthetic iron oxide to (3) the phosphoric acid-based rust inhibiting pigment ((2)/(3)) is within the range from 70/30 to 50/50. Also specifically disclosed are a rust inhibiting coating film which is formed from the zinc-based black rust inhibitor, and a rust inhibiting metal member in which the rust inhibiting coating film is provided on the surface of a metal base.
