Scheduling of dynamically multiplexed services in a wireless network

Various example embodiments are disclosed relating to uniform scheduling of dynamically multiplexed services in a wireless network. According to an example embodiment, a technique may include determining, at a base station in a wireless network, that an amount of offered data for a service multiplex to be transmitted exceeds a radio resource reservation for the service multiplex, the service multiplex including a plurality of services; selecting one of the services for a packet drop based on a number of packets offered for each service and a number of packets previously dropped by the base station for each service; dropping a packet of the selected service; and transmitting the data for each service via an associated wireless bearer. Various criteria may be used to select one of the services for packet drop, such as a packet loss rate (or an adjusted packet loss rate), priority of the service, or other criteria such as a service identifier for each service.
