Device and method for computing chosen protocol parameters of a time slotted mac protocol used in a wireless network

A method is intended for computing chosen protocol parameters for a time slotted MAC protocol intended for a given application in a wireless network (N) having a given hardware platform and a given topology adapted to transmission of frames consisting in a synchronization and control sub-frame, hereafter named SCS frame and at least partly generated by a synchronization algorithm, and a sequence of data sub-frames, hereafter named DS frames, and divided into multiple time slots. This method consists in determining chosen protocol parameters by minimizing the overhead of the time slotted MAC protocol, subject to a set of chosen requirements of at least the given application, to chosen platform constraints, depending on chosen delays introduced by the hardware platform and impacting the time slotted MAC protocol, and to chosen SCS frame constraints, depending on chosen parameters of the synchronization algorithm.
