The device (1) has seat frame elements (2, 3) that are connected with each other by a lever device (4) in an articulated manner. A spring arrangement (5) is arranged at one of the frame elements. Another lever device (6) is provided for applying vertical force to the spring arrangement, where the vertical force acts on the other frame element. The latter lever device is connected with the spring arrangement and the latter frame element in a pivotable manner. Longitudinal axis (LA) of the spring arrangement is arranged perpendicular to vertical axis (VA) of the device. An independent claim is also included for a vehicle seat suspension comprising a spring device.
