PURPOSE: A surface emitting laser, a surface emitting laser array, a light scanning device, and an image forming device are provided to prevent color misalignment by suppressing an assembly error and a manufacturing error of configuration element in a color printer.;CONSTITUTION: A dy1 indicates a distance between +Y end part of an oxide layer(108a) and +Y end part of a current passing region(108b). A dy2 indicates a distance between -Y end part of the oxide layer and -Y end part of the current passing region. A dx1 indicates a distance between +X end part of the oxide layer and +X end part of the current passing region. A dx2 indicates a distance between -X end part of the oxide layer and -X end part of the current passing region. The distance is measured by using an IR microscope.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
