METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR AUTO GENERATING MESH ON SIDE SHELL IN A VESSEL AND RECORDING MEDIA

PURPOSE: An automatic external panel mesh generation method and device for a body of a ship is provided to automatically produce the external panel mesh by connecting free edges, which are placed on outside of cross-section of the internal members, in the longitudinal direction. CONSTITUTION: A searching part(11) searches the free edge in all cross-section elements of the body of the ship. A removing part sequentially removes the horizontal free edge and the internal edge except for the free edge of the upper side of a sun deck and the horizontal free edge of outer plate of the body among the searched free edges. An arranging part(21) arranges all cross-sections in the removed state of the inner edges. A selecting part(23) selects the nodes in the cross-sections which are in the neighborhood with the each nodes of the cross-sections. A generating part generates mesh by connecting an outline for the nodes.
