PURPOSE: A pharmaceutical composition for suppressing cancer proliferation containing deoxypodophyllotoxin is provided to induce apoptosis and cell cycle arrest.;CONSTITUTION: A composition for anti-cancer which induces suppression of cancer cell proliferation and induces apoptosis contains deoxypodophyllotoxin of the chemical formula 1 as an active ingredient. The deoxypodophyllotoxin is isolated from Anthriscus sylvestris Hoffm. A method for isolating Anthriscus sylvestris Hoffm. Comprises: a step of isolating from dried Anthriscus sylvestris Hoffm. using solvent; a step of filtering and concentrating Anthriscus sylvestris Hoffm.
