PURPOSE: A composition for alignment film, a method for preparing a liquid crystal alignment file using the same, an optical anisotropic film, a polarizing plate and a liquid crystal display comprising the optical anisotropic film are provided to have no need of a separate pretreatment on a substrate, and to obtain an alignment film with excellent adhesive property, heat resistance and humidity.;CONSTITUTION: A composition for alignment film comprises a polyvinyl alcohol 0.1~10 weight%, a cross-linking agent 0.01~2 weight%, a polyfunctional acryl monomer 0.05~5 weight%, a compatibilizing agent 0.01~2 weight%, and a photoinitiator 0.01~5 weight%, and a mixed solvent of alcohol and remnant water based on the total weight of the composition for forming the alignment film. The polyvinyl alcohol has average molecular weight of 85,000~146,000 and is hydrolyzed less than 96%.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
