PATH SELECTION METHOD FOR DISTRIBUTED SCHEDULING IN MOBILE MULTI-HOP RELAY NETWORKS, PARTICULARLY FOR SELECTING A PATH BETWEEN AN RS(RELAY STATION) AND A BASE STATION TO HAVE BEST DATA THROUGHPUT
PURPOSE: A path selection method for distributed scheduling in mobile multi-hop relay networks is provided to select an optimal path to allow each repeater to have the maximal data processing efficiency based on an available bandwidth, an SNR(Signal to Noise Ratio) and the combination of hop-counts.;CONSTITUTION: Each repeater broadcasts MAC(Medium Access Control) messages, and a new repeater scans the broadcasted MAC messages. The new repeater generates a path matrix table based on a parameter value for the selection of a path. The cost for each path between the new repeater and the base station is calculated. The repeater of the path that has an optimal cost is selected as a parent repeater for the new repeater.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
