PURPOSE: A method for boosting a local dimming signal, a boosting driving circuit, and a display device including the same are provided to reduce power consumption required for boosting optical source blocks by gradually decreasing or increasing the brightness of the boosted optical source blocks before the light adaption time.;CONSTITUTION: It is determined whether local dimming signals applied at every frame for individually driving optical source blocks satisfies a boosting condition(S20). If the local dimming signals satisfy the boosting condition, the specific local dimming signal corresponding to at least one specific optical source block among optical source blocks is boosted and the brightness of the boosting brightness of the specific local dimming signal is gradually decreased after the light adaption time of the human eye(S80).;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
