PURPOSE: A compact monopole antenna for an ultra wideband is provided to help a user to make the device compact by directly connecting SMA connector and eliminating a ground plane.;CONSTITUTION: In a compact monopole antenna for an ultra wideband, a substrate is formed as a board-shape and has a through hole. A feeding unit(121) is formed on the substrate, and a radiation unit(125) is separated from the feeding unit and is formed on the substrate with being more expanded than the feeding unit. A connection part(127) interconnects the feeding unit and the radiation unit. A wire is inserted to the SMA connector(130) through the penetration hole on the substrate and the SMA connector is connected to the feeding unit.
